storylines
the stepbrother: ( 1m )
The Josh to her Cher, except they're way bitchier. As resentful of the spoiled upper-class as Andie is of the wannabe nouveau-riche, he's also just as self-obsessed as she is, though she's more the kind to fawn over her mirror while he prefers to bask in his own intellectual superiority. The name is negotiable.
the deal: ( 1f )
Possibly a co-worker who's been at the club for a while, and knows Andie from seasons past. They wouldn't have gotten along back then, because Andie is a spoiled brat and treats the help terribly. She now has a crush on Andie's new stepbrother; unfortunately, she has some trouble getting his attention for whatever reason (probably his own narcissism and intellectual superiority), and reluctantly turns to Andie for help, who in return dumps her more unsavory duties on her as payment.
the turnaround: ( 1m )
Maybe he won the lottery. Maybe one of his parents remarried rich. However his Cinderella story came about, it did. He used to be another one of the many-- possibly just a poor local, but probably a poor employee-- that Andie would regularly torment during her summer stays at Malibu Sands. But now that he's become the new golden boy and she's being forced to perform manual labor for barely minimum wage, he's greatly enjoying his newfound ability to impose the same humiliation on her as she did on him for years.

Until a few short weeks ago, she and Andie might have been able to pass for friendly rivals or frenemies at best, though everyone's always known them to be backstabbing bitches bent on destroying the other by any means necessary in all honesty. But now that Andie's social status has been seriously diminished, this girl will stop at no lengths to torment Andie just as they both used to team up to torment the help, when they came to Malibu Sands to vacation together. She's always wanted to dethrone Andie as the queen bee, and is basking in her newfound glory and milking it for all it's worth. But Andie thinks it's high time she also learned that nothing good can ever last forever.
